Water for Kenya is a project initiated by a small Sunday School in the small town of Salmon Arm, British Columbia. The children were alarmed to learn that dirty water kills 5000 children a day (U>N> Report) and wanted to do something about it. They are raising money to provide a well to a village in Kenya. The cost will be $3,300 and the well will be built through partners with Presbyterian World Services and Development. The Sunday School children are raising money through bottle drives, donations and sales at a table in the local mall. Donations over $10 will receive a tax receipt.
